We are working with a modern, purpose-built small animal clinic located in the heart of Llanelli for a dedicated and personable Veterinary Surgeon. Situated in a busy retail park, the practice enjoys a loyal client base and a varied caseload. With state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house lab, no two days are the same.

The practice is led by a supportive and experienced team of three vets (ranging from 8 to 30+ years of experience, with a new graduate joining soon), four experienced nurses, a student nurse, and five receptionists. Together, the team works with a strong ethos of putting animal care first, free from financial targets.

What Makes This Role Special?

  • Supportive Team Environment: Collaboration and case discussions are highly encouraged, creating an inclusive and non-judgemental workplace.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, specific days, or tailored shifts, the practice accommodates your schedule.
  • Work-Life Balance: Routine appointments are 15 minutes, non-routine appointments are 20 minutes, and lunch breaks are one hour, fully paid. The team is also compensated for 30 minutes after the clinic officially closes to ensure everyone leaves on time or early.

  • Experienced in consultations and routine procedures with good clinical skills.
  • A great communicator who can build rapport with clients and colleagues.
