Specialist/Advanced Veterinary Practitioner (Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue & Neurosurgery)

Salary: £130,000 per year

The role: 
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist or Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue, and Neurosurgery to develop and expand a referral service in North London. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for clinical excellence and a desire to take control of their caseload while working within a supportive and dynamic environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established 24-hour veterinary hospital, alongside a team of experienced colleagues, including a Branch Partner with a certificate in medicine.

Skills & Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Surgical certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience in performing TPLO/TTAs, spinals, fracture repair, and complex soft tissue surgeries (e.g., perineal urethrostomy, TECA, BOAS, thoracotomy)
  • Strong leadership skills and experience of building a progressive clinical culture
  • Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
  • Ability to mentor colleagues and enhance clinic performance through coaching
