Veterinary Surgeon - OOH Night Team

Are you ready to make a real difference in emergency veterinary care? Our client, a busy and well-established referral hospital in Cork, is looking for an experienced OOH Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated night team.

The Role
As part of the night team, you’ll play a key role in saving lives and providing emergency care to our patients.

  • Shift Pattern: 7 nights on, followed by 14 nights off

  • Shifts: 7pm to 8am

  • Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

  • Salary: Up to €70,000 FTE

  • Work alongside a skilled team in a state-of-the-art, busy referral hospital

  • Further develop your skills in emergency medicine and critical care

Applicant Requirements

  • Registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI)

  • Availability to start in Ireland from November/December 2024

  • Experience in veterinary practice (this role is not suitable for new graduates)

About the Practice
This 100% small animal veterinary group is based in Cork, with a flagship referral hospital. Their range of referral services includes:

  • CT Scanning, Radiography, Ultrasound, Laparoscopy, Endoscopy

  • In-house Laboratory, Orthopaedic Surgery (including spinal surgery)

  • Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation

  • 24-hour Emergency Service at the main referral centre
