We're working with a progressive, well-equipped practice in Dublin that’s part of a smaller veterinary group — offering the perks of a corporate with the autonomy and culture of an independent. They’re now looking to welcome a Lead Vet to guide their growing clinical team.

This is a rare chance to take on a leadership role without the burden of HR responsibilities — instead, your focus will be on clinical standards, mentoring and delivering excellent care.

The Role:

  • Full-time position across 4 days (no Sundays or OOHs)

  • 1 in 3 Saturdays, 9am–1pm

  • Clinical leadership: mentoring, guiding standards, and supporting a cohesive vet+RVN team

  • Surgery-focused: including dentals, soft tissue, spays, neuters, mass removals (no cruciate)

  • 20-minute consults with built-in admin time

  • Work closely with an experienced Practice Director who handles HR and operations

About the Practice:

  • 3 Vet team

  • 3 RVNs, 1 ACA, 3 Receptionists, 1 Practice Director

  • Busy surgical and dental caseload

  • Home to certificate holders

  • Well-equipped with modern surgical and dental facilities

  • Local decision-making with clinical freedom and autonomy

What They’re Looking For:

  • A confident surgeon with strong general practice experience
  • Ideally, someone with an interest or certificate in dentistry or imaging (not essential)
  • Natural leader who enjoys mentoring and working collaboratively
  • Motivated and invested in clinical standards and team development
  • Must be VCI registered with a minimum of 3 years of experience

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary up to €80,000
  • No out-of-hours or late evenings
  • Generous CPD allowance with support for further certificates
  • 4-day working week
  • A supportive, forward-thinking team that prioritises clinical excellence and work-life balance
  • 6.6 weeks holiday, including public holidays
  • Generous CPD allowance plus CPD leave
  • Full uniform provided
  • Supportive leadership, strong clinical structure, and a positive culture where people thrive
