We are seeking a motivated Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join a supportive and dynamic team in a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a confident professional looking to excel in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours:

  • 40 hours per week

  • 4-day working week

  • 1 in 8 weekends (with 2 days off in lieu the following week)

  • Minimal on-call duties (dedicated ECC team on site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to clients and their pets.

  • Contribute to case discussions and work closely with a team of 13 experienced vets.

  • Rotate between a well-equipped main hospital and consulting-only branches.

  • Participate in hospital initiatives such as mentoring, environmental projects, and social events.

About the Practice

This role is based in a modern, well-equipped veterinary hospital in Swindon, which houses both primary care services and multi-disciplinary referral teams. With branches in North Swindon and Old Town, the practice offers a mix of 24-hour emergency care and routine consultations for small animals.

The team is passionate about fostering professional growth, collaboration, and exceptional standards of patient care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Veterinary Degree and MRCVS registration.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • A positive, can-do attitude with a team-first approach.

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities.

  • Surgical Certificate (or working towards one) is desirable but not essential.
