Veterinary Surgeon – Internal Medicine Focus (6-Month Contract, Potential for Permanent Role)

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for an opportunity that combines clinical excellence with genuine support and a positive work-life balance? Our client, a highly respected independent veterinary group in the Chichester area, is looking for a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team on a 6-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

About the Role

This position is based at a state-of-the-art hospital in Chichester, where the focus is on delivering top-tier, personalized care to patients. The role provides an opportunity to collaborate with a supportive night team and advanced referral practitioners, ensuring 24/7 care with a personalized touch. About You

You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with a strong background in internal medicine. Certificate holders, those with Advanced Practitioner status, or vets working towards a certification will be particularly well-suited to this role. Rota & Benefits

  • Rota: 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts, 1 hour for lunch. Equal rotation for emergencies (1 in 6 weekends/bank holidays) with 2 days off in lieu for weekend shifts.

  • Salary: £45,000 to £65,000+ depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Benefits: Generously funded CPD (including Certificate funding), 40% staff discount for own pets, 7 weeks of holiday (including bank holidays), standard pension, and occupational health support (including mental health resources). If you stay beyond the contract, there’s enhanced parental leave (6 months at 90% pay) and enhanced sick leave benefits.
