Due to the relocation of a senior team member, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dairy-focused vet to join a thriving team of 12 farm vets and 6 ATTs/Vet Techs in a progressive farm-only practice based in South West Wales.
This role is ideal for someone who has mastered the fundamentals of fertility and herd health but is looking for more opportunities to advance their career.
You will work with a range of dairy herds, from traditional family farms to modern, large-scale commercial operations. Routine work is shared among the team and is supported by an experienced administration and Vet Tech team. The ideal candidate will bring the right attitude, aptitude, and enthusiasm to support the team and contribute to the success of local farming businesses.
About the Practice
This is a friendly, forward-thinking, farm-only practice with two fully equipped branches located just minutes apart. The primary service area covers Carmarthenshire, with clients also in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Swansea. The region offers stunning coastline and countryside, making it a fantastic place to live and work.
The team is made up of a mix of experienced vets and newer colleagues, including certificate and DBR holders. The practice offers a full range of farm services, including:
Advanced Breeding Services
Flock and Beef Health Clubs
Health Planning
Obstetrics and general herd health care
On-Call Schedule
1-in-6 rota for out-of-hours cover
Two vets on call at all times
Full-time vets receive a half-day following a night duty
A day off in lieu after a weekend on-call
