About the Role
The role will be primarily based at the main site, which is a large practice equipped with excellent facilities, including an on-site lab, x-ray machine, ultrasound, large operating facilities, and separate cat and dog wards. The second branch is just 20 minutes away, ensuring ease of access between the two locations. The position offers flexibility with the rota, working 4-5 days a week with 1 in 3 Saturdays. No out-of-hours work is required, and consults are a minimum of 15 minutes, with the option for longer slots if needed.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Accommodation: Sea view accommodation is available just a 10-minute drive from the practice, with a car provided if necessary
- CPD & Career Development: £1,750 annual CPD allowance (pro-rata) and support for pursuing a certificate
- No OOHs
- Holiday: 6.6 weeks paid holiday (pro-rata) including bank holidays

The practice has a full-time team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, student nurses, animal care assistants, and receptionists. The environment is supportive, with a focus on professional growth. They also serve as a training practice for Veterinary Nurses and encourage fresh ideas and continuous progression.
Location
Based in a vibrant seaside town in Essex, with plenty of local amenities, including restaurants, shops, and a beautiful beach. The area is well-connected, with easy access to Colchester (just 20 minutes away) and regular train services to London, making it a great location for both work and leisure.
