Exciting Opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon in Beautiful Cornwall!
I’m currently working with an incredible small animal practice in Cornwall that’s looking for a talented Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This RCVS-accredited, independently-owned practice is nestled in the heart of Truro, surrounded by the stunning beauty of Cornwall’s landscapes and beaches.
Why This Role Stands Out:
Imagine working in a modern, purpose-built clinic with cutting-edge equipment, all while being just 15-20 minutes from some of the most breathtaking beaches in the country. Whether you're into scenic hikes, surfing, or simply relaxing by the coast, Cornwall offers an unbeatable lifestyle to complement your veterinary career.
The clinic has grown into a well-established and highly successful practice. With a fantastic reputation in the local community and an ever-growing, loyal client base, you’ll be part of a team that consistently delivers five-star care. The supportive environment is one of the clinic’s greatest strengths—many of the team members have been there for over 4 to 10 years, a testament to the welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
What You Can Expect:
A supportive work culture: The owner is an experienced vet with a special interest in orthopaedics and minimally invasive surgery, offers tremendous support to the team. With regular case discussions, structured clinical meetings, and open communication, you’ll never feel alone.
Flexibility and work-life balance: The clinic understands the importance of a good work-life balance and is happy to discuss flexible hours to suit your needs. The weekend rota is a manageable 1 in 3 Saturdays, with no operations.
Modern facilities: Recently expanded and refurbished, the clinic boasts a bright, airy environment with separate cat and dog wards, two theatres, and all the essential equipment for a solid GP practice.
Key Requirements: The practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with solid GP experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for high-quality veterinary care. You'll be a true team player, ready to contribute to both the clinical and non-clinical sides of the practice.
What’s On Offer:
Competitive salary up to £60,000 (FTE)
5.6 weeks of annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)
Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS)
Life Assurance (4x annual salary)
Contributory Pension Scheme
