A fantastic opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive and friendly team at a well-established first-opinion practice with an additional focus on ophthalmology.

The Role

This position provides the chance to work in a busy, diverse clinical environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary certificate holders in the region. The practice actively encourages progression toward new qualifications or the continuation of existing certificates.

  • Schedule: Full-time role (4 days per week) with flexibility available—tailored to fit your needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.

  • Provide clear and compassionate client communication, ensuring the best outcomes for their pets.

  • Maintain high standards of professional excellence and regulatory compliance.

  • Create accurate treatment and care plans with transparent cost estimates.

  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative work culture.

  • Ensure smooth clinical handovers and appropriate patient care transitions for out-of-hours needs.

  • Share and implement clinical best practices across the practice and wider network.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

  • Proven experience delivering outstanding care to patients and clients.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills.

  • Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, optimizing clinic efficiency.

  • Proficient in coaching and mentoring colleagues to achieve their best.
