Registered Veterinary Nurse – Surgical & Anaesthesia Focus – Referrals Team - Newly Qualified Welcome
Are you a newly qualified RVN looking to take your career to the next level? Or perhaps you’re already experienced but keen to specialise and grow your skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment?
We’re working on behalf of a leading, progressive veterinary practice based in South West London, currently looking to welcome an enthusiastic and driven Registered Veterinary Nurse into their dedicated referrals team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the UK’s most respected certificate holders and diplomates in a highly supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The Role:
This isn’t your average RVN position. You’ll become a vital part of a dynamic referrals team, with the chance to build and refine your surgical and anaesthetic skill set while working closely with senior clinicians and the practice’s clinical director.
You’ll be involved in:
-
Admission and preparation of referral patients
-
Setting up for procedures, including IV placement and bloods
-
Assisting with patient induction and prepping
-
Monitoring anaesthetics and coordinating smooth handovers to hospital teams
-
Supporting and learning from a skilled, tight-knit group of nurses and clinicians
This role is ideal for someone practical, hands-on, and organised – someone who enjoys the clinical side of nursing and is eager to step into a position with real progression potential, including leadership opportunities down the line.
What We’re Looking For:
-
A qualified RVN (newly qualified candidates welcome)
-
Strong organisational skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
-
A genuine interest in surgical and anaesthesia development
-
Someone who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused setting
-
Willingness to grow within a structured but flexible clinical environment
What You’ll Get in Return:
-
Tailored mentorship and support from a highly experienced team
-
Exposure to a varied and interesting referral caseload
-
A clear path for clinical development and leadership progression
-
A collaborative culture where nurses are truly valued
-
Competitive salary and benefits package
-
An environment where curiosity, learning and enthusiasm are celebrated
If you’re looking to gain advanced experience, work with top-level clinicians, and grow into a rewarding leadership role, this could be the perfect next step for you.
