Dental Veterinary Nurse – Exciting Unique New Opportunity

A leading veterinary hospital is seeking a passionate and skilled Dental Veterinary Nurse to join their large, multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse with a keen interest in surgery, anaesthesia, and dentistry to take on a key role in a well-equipped hospital environment.

This RCVS-accredited hospital provides high-quality care for both first-opinion and referral patients. With a large, experienced team of veterinary professionals, the hospital offers an extensive range of services, including orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, oncology, advanced imaging, and a busy dental unit. The practice also supports several referring veterinary clinics and provides 24-hour emergency and out-of-hours care.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience and enthusiasm for anaesthesia and dentistry. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of surgical and dental nursing, working closely with a postgraduate certificate holder in dentistry to provide outstanding dental care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting a variety of anaesthetic procedures across general, referral, and dental surgeries
  • Coordinating the dental suite and overseeing dental procedures, including Schedule 3 tasks
  • Performing full-mouth dental radiography and assisting with advanced dental procedures
  • Managing dental clinic workflow, including booking procedures, handling referrals, and liaising with clients
  • Leading nurse-led dental clinics, educating pet owners on preventative oral care
  • Ensuring dental equipment maintenance and stock management
  • Organising and delivering in-house training and CPD sessions for the team on dental care

Working Pattern & Salary

  • Full-time role 
  • Flexible 4-day working week 
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • Salary: Up to £32,500 per annum (depending on experience)
