With a strong reputation for high clinical standards and a supportive, close-knit environment, this is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who wants to take on a varied role and become an integral part of a dedicated veterinary team.

The practice, under independent ownership, offers modern facilities and a broad caseload including surgical, medical, and preventative care for companion animals. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, patient care, and professional development, they are looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

What Makes This Role Different?

Nurses here are valued for their clinical expertise—you won’t just be supporting consultations, you’ll actively lead nurse clinics, assist with a range of diagnostic and surgical procedures, and play an important role in client education.

The practice values flexibility, and there is scope to discuss working patterns to suit your preferences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing surgical and medical nursing support during procedures and inpatient care.
  • Running nurse clinics, offering advice on preventative healthcare and nutrition.

  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and infection control standards.
  • Participating in general client care and reception duties to ensure seamless front-of-house service.

Who They’re Looking For

  • A qualified and RCVS-registered nurse with strong clinical skills.
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team and taking ownership of their role.
  • Confident communicator who can work closely with clients, providing education and support.
  • Someone with a positive, proactive attitude, who thrives when multitasking.

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive salary reflective of experience and qualifications.
  • 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays.
  • A generous CPD allowance with active support to pursue areas of clinical interest.
  • Professional memberships paid.
  • A balanced rota including a shared Saturday morning and no out-of-hours, giving you time to enjoy life outside of work.
  • Opportunities for career development in a forward-thinking practice where your ideas will be heard and valued.
