An exciting opportunity has arisen for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join a well-established practice in South Dublin for a maternity leave contract. This full-time, 12-month position offers a fantastic chance to work in a modern, well-equipped clinic with a highly skilled and supportive team.

The Role

  • Position: Full-time, Maternity Cover (Specific Purpose Contract)
  • Contract Duration: Approximately 12 months, starting May 2025
  • 38.5 hours per week (4-day week)
  • Weekend Rota
  • No Out-of-Hours or On-Call

Key Responsibilities

  • General consultations
  • Routine surgery (neutering, dentals, emergency surgeries)
  • Efficiently managing a busy first-opinion caseload

Who We’re Looking For

  • VCI-registered veterinary surgeon
  • Confident in first-opinion practice, including consultations and routine surgeries
  • Ideally suited to a vet with at least 2 years experience. 
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a busy environment
  • Not suitable for candidates needing extensive surgical training or support
