We are working with an independent small animal practice based in Oxfordshire.

They are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join their team. It is an exciting time to be a part of the team as they are expanding and plan to extend into a purpose built hospital in the coming years.

The Role:

A typical week would involve all aspects of small animal first opinion practice; in a normal week you will spend time consulting, on the hospital rota (day patients and in patients) and doing surgery. You will be supported

by our team of highly experienced vets, nurses and lay staff – there is always someone available to ask for help or to discuss a case with if required!

About You

Ideally we are looking for a vet with 2-3+ years of experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and sociable vet to join our ever-growing clinical team.

You will want to be included in clinical discussions, ward rounds, and conversations about how to improve and move the practice forwards.

We’re hoping to find someone who is not afraid to give their opinion, while communicating and working well within a team.

A special interest or a certificate would be a bonus and would be encouraged.

The Team:

  • You will be a member of a large team of 11 vets and 14 nurses .

  • They are an approved RCVS Graduate Development Practice with a trained Vet GDP adviser.

Hours:

  • Average 40 hours per week, with the option of working 4 or 5 days per week

  • Out of Hours: maximum one night shift per week. 1 in 4 weekend shifts (part of a weekend)
