Hours: 30-40 hours per week, no out-of-hours, and 1:5 weekends
About the Role:
As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will lead a talented team of veterinary professionals, including new graduates. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload while providing high-quality care and clinical support to your team. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring, delivering training, and fostering continuous professional development across the practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary veterinary team, ensuring high clinical standards.
- Mentor and coach new graduates and veterinary nurses, enhancing their skills and building their confidence.
- Design and deliver training sessions on current veterinary practices, technologies, and procedures.
- Oversee the veterinary team’s performance and implement tailored development plans.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance for complex cases.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure staff receive the support and training they need for continuous growth.
- Proven experience in veterinary practice, with or without previous leadership experience.
- A Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and full registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Confidence in delivering high-quality veterinary care while managing a team.
- A passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of veterinary professionals.
- Attractive salary starting from £60,000, depending on experience.
- Flexible working hours with no out-of-hours and 1 in 5 weekends.
