An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive and engaged team in Aylesford, Kent. The practice, located on a convenient retail park close to the M20 and main transport routes, has recently undergone a refurbishment and expansion, offering a modern and well-equipped environment to support high-quality care.
The Role
This part-time position (30 hours per week over three days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm) involves occasional sole charge but no out-of-hours responsibilities. The role is ideal for a vet with strong routine surgery and medical skills who thrives in a collaborative setting and can provide mentorship to junior colleagues.
An interest in ophthalmology is desirable but not essential, and there is plenty of scope to further develop your areas of interest with CPD and postgraduate qualifications fully supported.
About the Practice
The practice is staffed by a welcoming team of 3 vets, 2 nurses, a student veterinary nurse (SVN), a veterinary care assistant (VCA), and 4 receptionists. Team members bring expertise in areas such as ultrasonography, cardiology, feline medicine, and internal medicine, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The practice is ideally situated in the heart of Kent's "Garden of England," offering beautiful countryside surroundings and easy access to London and international airports. This balance makes it perfect for both outdoor adventures and city experiences.
