Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who have an exciting opportunity for a Night Vet to join their First Opinion team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. In this role, you’ll manage existing hospital patients and handle out-of-hours emergency cases. They’re looking for candidates with solid ECC experience, and knowledge of referral work (e.g., a rotating internship) would be beneficial. There are no routine appointments or animal health checks, making this a dynamic, varied role perfect for someone who thrives in a reactive environment.

About the practice:

This practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and advanced diagnostics, ensuring world-class patient care. Their hospital features 13 consultation rooms, 7 wards, 5 theatres, an advanced imaging suite, hydrotherapy pool, and more. Serving both a busy first opinion clinic and a multi-disciplinary referral service, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of cases, from routine to complex, while enhancing your ECC skills. You'll have access to top-of-the-line equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, CT/MRI, endoscopy, and ICU monitoring.

This position offers a 7-on, 14-off rota, working 38 hours per week. Shift patterns include Mondays to Thursdays (19:00–07:30), Fridays (19:00–08:30), Saturdays (18:00–08:30), and Sundays (18:00–07:30). Salary:

Up to £75,000 (pro rata) DOE
