Your role and responsibilities
Working 7 days on, 14 off
13.5 hour shifts
Working with a RVN
Seeing all emergencies from their own clinic and 1 other practice only
Working up and managing all in patients
Salary up to £63,000 (pro-rata where applicable)
Reporting to the Head Vet, you will work from the main 24 hour Hospital. You will practice high standards of service for the clients and care through examination, medical and surgical treatment of their animals. You will provide ongoing support in the provision of excellent patient services and assist in the efficient running of the practice and ensure all communication and clinical protocols are delivered and maintained. There are bedrooms for resting for each overnight staff member.
The team is well-established with a great reputation and puts emphasis on compassionate care and service. Their team is genuinely large with 15 Vets, 30 nursing and 10 admin associates supported by the 2 Clinical Directors, 2 Head Vets, a Clinical Nursing Manager and Practice Manager. They fully encourage further studies with 4 of the Vets currently studying towards a certificate – including surgery, internal medicine and exotics.

About the Practice:
The practice was established in 1932, they are a primary care, multi-site practice, focusing on small animals and pets. They have practices in a great location with great transport links and close to an airport!
They provide 24-hour emergency service in their hospital, which is well-equipped to deal with a large range of operations from routine neutering to exploratory laparotomies. The 24-hour site allows exceptional patient care and case follow though, enabled by their internal lab with great testing scope (cortisol, bile acids, blood gases, ionised calcium, in house culture and sensitive testing ect).
