We are on the lookout for an experienced Veterinarian to join an Emergency Hospital in the iconic city of Melbourne, Australia!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated vet looking for a challenging and rewarding overnight role, with 4-5 night shifts per fortnight.
This position involves working overnight in a well-equipped 24/7 veterinary hospital that manages a diverse and exciting caseload.
The hospital is looking for a night-owl veterinarian who can help balance the overnight rotation and support the dedicated ECC team.
Responsibilities:
Managing urgent GP consultations for small animals
Handling primary emergency cases and performing emergency surgeries as needed
Providing care for hospitalized patients overnight
Supervising the night consulting team and offering support to junior vets and recent graduates
What’s on Offer:
Competitive salary package from $130,000-$155,000, depending on experience.
Varied and engaging caseload, including trauma, toxicities, pericardial effusions, oncology, and referral cases
Well-equipped hospital with endoscopy, ultrasound, ventilators, and an extensive in-house laboratory
Supportive team environment, with access to a Canine Medical Specialist and visiting Specialist Surgeon
About You:
3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with experience or a strong interest in ECC
Eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a high-performing team
Compassionate and resilient in high-pressure situations
