Mixed Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity
Position Overview:
40 hours per week, 5 days a week
1 weeknight per week on call and 1 in 6 weekends
Salary: Up to €80,000, based on experience
Professional Development: Full funding for PG certificates
Leave Entitlements: 22 days annual, excluding bank holidays)
Professional Memberships: VCI and VDS memberships covered
Candidate Requirements:
Registration: VCI/RCVS registered or eligible to register with VCI
Experience: Required in mixed animal practice with competency in both small and large animal veterinary care
About the Practice:
The clinic in question is a mixed practice located in County Wexford, in the sunny southeast of Ireland. Known for its vibrant markets, local community, coastal beaches, and rich heritage, Gorey is approximately 45 minutes from Dublin and easily accessible by major roadways, train, and bus.
The purpose-built facility includes two examination rooms, a dedicated operating theatre, a prep room, and a large animal examination unit. The practice is well-equipped with radiography, dentistry facilities, ultrasound, and diagnostic machines.

The team comprises 4 full-time Veterinary Surgeons, 1 part-time Veterinary Surgeon, a Practice Manager, and a dedicated support staff. The practice prides itself on teamwork and mutual support.
