My client, a well-established independent practice in County Cork, is looking for a mixed practice vet to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a collaborative approach to cases, where high-quality medicine is always the priority.
The Practice
This progressive practice operates across two modern, well-equipped branches, both holding Registered Veterinary Hospital status. The caseload is approximately 60% large animal (mainly dairy) and 40% small animal, with the small animal side continuing to expand. There is no equine work.
The team has a strong mix of experienced vets, certificate holders, and those currently completing further qualifications in both small and large animal disciplines. They offer excellent mentorship and have a proven track record of supporting new and recent graduates—many of whom have stayed long-term.
The Role
- Full-time position, five days per week
- Well-structured on-call rota (approx. 1 in 6) with time off in lieu
- Springtime rota includes a day off after a night on call
- Mix of small and large animal work, with flexibility to develop areas of interest
- Encouragement to pursue certificates and grow within the practice
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary of €40,000 - €70,000, dependent on experience
- CPD budget and full support for professional development
- Paid professional fees
- A welcoming, experienced team that values collaboration and ongoing learning
