A thriving 24-hour veterinary hospital in North London is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join the team with the exciting opportunity to transition into a Branch Partnership role. The hospital is a busy, state-of-the-art facility offering advanced diagnostics and treatment, including MRI/CT, endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services. The team is highly experienced, with certificate holders, dedicated night staff, and excellent support from nurses and receptionists. The facility is undergoing a modern refurbishment and offers a collaborative, friendly environment.

This role provides extensive operational and commercial support so you can focus on clinical excellence while growing your practice and shaping your team’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and champion high clinical and operational standards.
  • Deliver exceptional care to patients and provide clear communication to clients.
  • Ensure professional excellence and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare accurate treatment plans and manage client estimates.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager to achieve commercial goals.
  • Mentor, develop, and inspire the practice team to maximise their potential.
  • Share and promote best clinical practices within the broader veterinary community.
  • Manage clinical handovers and coordinate out-of-hours or referral cases.

Skills and Experience:

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Proven clinical leadership abilities.
  • Experience delivering high standards of patient and client care.
  • Strong understanding of how exceptional care enhances the client experience.
  • Ability to foster a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience in achieving strong commercial performance.
  • Effective team player with coaching and influencing skills to support colleagues.
