Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who is seeking a Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead their dedicated first opinion team. As a multi-site practice group, they operate three first opinion sites and a referral center. Their out-of-hours team is supported by the five practices within their group.

This is a respected training practice, known for supporting new graduates and working with local colleges to develop RVNs. Their graduate vets have praised their supportive environment, with dedicated mentors and a structured vetGDP program. Many of their graduates have continued their careers with them, pursuing additional qualifications and contributing to their multidisciplinary practice.
Your Role
In this role, you will lead and mentor our team, providing guidance on clinical decisions and ensuring a balanced workload. Your leadership will help their team of varying experience levels—from new graduates to certificate holders—achieve their potential. You will work closely with their Practice Director to set professional and clinical objectives and meet business performance goals. They offer a clear progression pathway, with opportunities to develop in surgical or medical fields based on your interests.
Salary:
Up to £75,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000
