The Opportunity

This role will see you leading a team of dedicated nurses, including student nurses and veterinary care assistants, providing high-quality care to a loyal client base. You’ll work closely with the veterinary team to ensure that every patient receives exceptional care, and you’ll have the autonomy to manage and implement clinical processes that maintain the highest standards. Whether you’re overseeing surgeries, delivering nurse-led appointments, or guiding the development of your team, you’ll be an essential part of the practice’s future.

Key Responsibilities

As Head RVN, you will:

  • Lead the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care across all services and procedures.
  • Oversee Schedule 3 surgeries and nurse-led appointments.
  • Manage admissions, discharges, and patient transfers with precision.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and support during surgeries.
  • Ensure that all clinical work complies with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Mentor and develop the team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Inspire a positive, team-focused culture while engaging in ongoing training and development.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a RCVS registered RVN with a proven track record in clinical leadership.
  • Possess experience in leading a team and managing a nursing department.
  • Be passionate about providing outstanding patient and client care.
  • Be experienced in implementing clinical procedures and leading nurse-led appointments.
  • Have excellent communication skills, with a talent for coaching and inspiring others.
