**Hospital Environment, with Clinical Teaching in the University**
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented equine surgeon to join an amazing team, Clinical teaching hospital to the nearby University, of Veterinary Medicine and Science.
You will be working alongside an experienced boarded surgeon, an imager and medicine specialists, medicine and sports medicine residents and interns. In addition, they also have the very best dedicated nursing team that have more than 150 years of experience.
Ideally, this is a full time position but there may be some flexibility in this for the right candidate.
About the Practice:
They are Hospital Practice with purpose built and well-designed facilities including 2 theatres, MRI, Scintigraphy, and excellent standing/pre/post/intraoperative CT. There is an excellent and varied case load including many high-level competition horses. And they strive to combine the best of private hospital practice with the research and teaching opportunities of academia.
Rutland is the smallest and arguably prettiest county in England, with a rich equestrian heritage, and central location ideal for competition clients and accessibility for travel. Moreover, the region has excellent schools and outdoor leisure facilities.
The team is made up of 9 veterinary surgeons, plus 6 clinicians along with 3 interns and a 15-person team of nurses and yard staff.
The Ideal Equine Vet:
To be successful in the role you will be an experienced Equine Surgeon, ideally boarded or residency trained but still get in touch if not as this is only desirable.
On Offer:
Pay will be on a commercial scale commensurate with hours and experience, long term prospects are also available.
6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
