Are you an experienced equine reproduction veterinarian looking for a rewarding seasonal opportunity in Southeast Queensland? We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian for the upcoming breeding season, working with thoroughbred mares, foals, and stallions.
This role involves primary veterinary management of large thoroughbred broodmare farms, working closely with clients to develop and implement breeding programs. You will be part of an experienced team with a strong focus on stud medicine.
Responsibilities:
Conduct reproductive evaluations, including ultrasound exams and diagnostic tests, to manage breeding and reproductive cycles.
Provide expert advice on breeding management, including artificial insemination and embryo transfer.
Assist with foaling and post-foaling care for mares and foals.
Participate in the clinic’s on-call roster for emergency and routine care.
About You:
MUST be eligible for registration in Australia
Minimum of 5 years experience in equine
Valid driver’s license.
Strong independent work ethic with good time management skills.
Passion for stud medicine and thoroughbred racing.
Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
