About the Role

As the Deputy Head Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Nurse and overseeing the daily operations across three key practice sites. This includes managing and mentoring a dedicated nursing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and helping the practice continue to deliver top-notch care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and support to the senior nursing team
  • Managing staff performance, offering guidance, feedback, and mentorship
  • Promoting best practice and ensuring high standards of care
  • Conflict resolution and team development
  • Supporting the professional growth of nursing staff through mentoring and coaching
  • Collaborating with the management team to implement strategies for practice improvement

Working Pattern

  • Full-time role (40 hours per week)
  • Split across three main sites: Hartlepool, Horden, and Billingham
