Clinical Director

Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum (D.O.E), with up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus or Relocation Package available

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 days, with 1:6 Saturdays (8:30 am–1 pm) and 1:6 Saturdays (8:30 am–5 pm). No OOH.

About the Practice

This well-established practice has a history spanning over 100 years, serving the Staffordshire and Warwickshire areas with excellence in small animal primary care. Located in two vibrant market towns, the practices offer a blend of peaceful countryside living with easy access to Birmingham city and its airport (30 minutes away).

The team consists of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, including one Ophthalmology certificate holder and three others working towards certificates in Surgery and Emergency & Critical Care (ECC). Many team members have over 20 years of service, fostering a closely-knit, supportive environment.

The practice handles a varied caseload, including advanced services such as orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic procedures, ophthalmology referrals, and more. State-of-the-art facilities include Digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, electrocautery, orthopaedic tools, and more.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step in your career? Or are you a Clinical Director seeking a leadership role in a respected and well-equipped practice?

The current Clinical Director is transitioning to a part-time role, creating an exciting opportunity for a friendly and enthusiastic leader to take charge and guide the team.

As Clinical Director, you will:

  • Lead the practices, driving clinical services, commercial performance, and team development.
  • Manage lead vets and the senior leadership team.
  • Maintain clinical duties, including inpatient care, surgery, and consultations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and ensure case continuity.

The practice supports specific clinical interests, particularly if you hold or are working towards a certificate relevant to small animal primary care practice.
