Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Hours: 3 days per week (7:45 am – 8:15 pm, Mon-Weds) plus 1 in 4 weekends. Full-time opportunities available.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in medicine and inpatient care to join a supportive and skilled team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care for hospitalised patients, including examinations, developing treatment plans, and maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues. You will collaborate closely with other vets for imaging, investigations, or surgical procedures when necessary and ensure a smooth handover of patient care to the night team.

This position is ideal for a vet looking to develop their medical skills, the role may also involve handling some emergency cases as needed.

About the Practice

The practice operates as a 24/7 Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital, offering a wide range of primary care services, including consultations, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, routine and non-routine surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, dentistry, and advanced imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, and visiting MRI). The practice also supports middle-tier referrals in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, exotics, and dermatology.

Additional facilities include a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre providing physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy. The practice is proud to provide its own 24-hour emergency care through a dedicated ECC night team.
