Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity in South-East London – Hospital-Style Caseload in a Small central Practice
We’re excited to represent a fantastic small animal practice in South-East London, on the lookout for an experienced Vet to join their team. This client offers a unique environment with a caseload more typical of a hospital—all while maintaining the warm, community-centered feel of a smaller practice.
The Role: This position is ideal for a Vet who thrives in a supportive, collaborative team and is eager to grow their skills. Our client supports skill development and ongoing CPD, whether through certifications, in-house training, or external courses.
Key Details:
Work Schedule: 4-day work week with 1:4 Saturday mornings (8:30 am - 1 pm)
Team Structure: Three vets scheduled daily, no sole charge needed even during holidays
Appointment Scheduling: 15-minute consults with every fourth slot blocked off to ensure a balanced, manageable day
No OOH or Sunday Shifts: OOH care is fully outsourced to a 3rd party, allowing for true work-life balance
Exceptional Support Staff: A dedicated team of 2 perm Vets, 1 locum and 7 RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, and kennel assistants, plus daily cleaning support after hours

What’s on Offer:
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000+ DOE
25 days of annual leave, increasing up to 30 days with service milestones, plus bank holidays
4-week paid sabbatical at 5-year intervals
