Our client who we are thrilled to be working with have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. To give you an idea of a working day they have 15-minute consultations time slots, dedicated operating days (at least 1-2 per week), care of inpatients, regular client communication allowing for you to build your clientele. They ask that you work as part of the Veterinary and Vet Nursing team to provide gold standard care to their loyal client base.

Working pattern:

Part-time hours will include up to 21.5 hours over 2 days per week 8:00am until 6:00pm Monday to Friday, 1:4 Saturday mornings on a Rota basis of 8:00am until 12:00pm. No out of hours. 

About them:

This is a 2-site practice. The main site has 2 vets working supported by 3-4 vet nurses per day. The other branch supports a smaller but tight-knit community and would be sole charge with 2 nurses supporting. Equipment includes in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound machine, digital dental x-ray, operating theatre.

Their team consists of 5 Vets, alongside 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 2 Student Nurses. They also have ample support from their 5 support team members. They have an exceptionally supportive team in place.

Ideal Candidate:

They hope to find a vet who is as passionate about animal and client care as well as wanting to be part of a team as they all work closely together and help each other out. They ask that you must be confident to do some days sole charge at their branch practice. You must be registered with the RCVS, preferred 3ys+ qualified and it is essential that you have excellent communication skills. They are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who is competent in all routine surgeries and ideally more complex ones too, although there is support available, potential for the right candidate to take on a senior vet role to assist the current Clinical Director.

Salary:

Up to £36,749 depending on experience, plus a £2000 Welcome Bonus
