We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and loyal team in Whitchurch, Shropshire. Due to expanding services, this role offers a fantastic chance to work with a supportive team while delivering exceptional care to a valued and appreciative client base.

As a general practice vet, you’ll participate in a shared rota for consultations and surgeries, supported by experienced RVNs and a receptionist. The practice ensures protected lunch and admin breaks, with 15-minute consultations as standard.

You’ll also benefit from close collaboration with a sister practice in Wem and a referral hospital in Shrewsbury, which provides OOH care and advanced services, including orthopaedics, CT, hydro/physiotherapy, laser therapy, and endoscopy.

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours per week.

  • 1 in 6 weekends at the Shrewsbury 24-Hour hospital.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 / annum

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.

  • Build strong client relationships with clear communication and updates.

  • Mentor and support colleagues, sharing best practices.

  • Prepare accurate treatment plans with cost estimates.

  • Collaborate with sister practices and the wider veterinary community.

About You

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.

  • Confident in clinical decision-making and sound medical judgement.

  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Committed to delivering high standards of care and promoting a progressive clinical culture.
