We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly respected and proudly independent veterinary practice with over 85 years of history, renowned for its supportive, inclusive culture and commitment to gold-standard patient care.

They are seeking a dedicated veterinary surgeon with at least two years of experience or completion of their vetGDP portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a supportive, well-equipped practice that values your growth and work-life balance.

The Practice: Their modern, purpose-built RCVS status hospital and two branch practices offer a bright, spacious environment and feature advanced facilities such as seven consult rooms, two operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray, new ultrasound machine, digital X-ray, endoscopy, five patient wards, hydrotherapy, a stance analyser, and a class IV laser.

The Team: Join a dynamic and friendly team comprising experienced vets and enthusiastic newer graduates. Senior vets act as GDP mentors, ensuring continuous support for professional growth, and a clinical director or senior vet is available 24/7 for advice.

Out of Hours & Rota: The practice provides its own OOH cover, allowing seamless client care and exposure to diverse emergency cases. The OOH rota is shared among eight vets, supported by an experienced vet on call. Weekends are on a 1:4 rota both day and night shifts and there is time off in lieu following weekend cover. You will also enjoy 15-minute consultations with ample breaks for admin and rest.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive DOE

  • Fully supported CPD days and opportunities for further education.

  • Regular wellness activities and social events, including charity walks and team outings.

  • Generous time off in lieu for OOH shifts.

  • 32 days of annual leave.

  • Childcare vouchers and a workplace pension.

  • Supportive work environment with career growth opportunities; five certificate holders and one diploma holder already part of the team.
