Lloyd & Cowan are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and stable team in a growing practice in West Lancashire. The team prides itself on delivering exceptional client and patient care while maintaining a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
The practice is ISFM Silver Cat Friendly and RWAF Silver Rabbit Friendly, reflecting a commitment to high standards of care. The team includes:
3 experienced vets with diverse interests.
5 RVNs, 2 Student Nurses, and 2 Veterinary Care Assistants.
A dedicated and efficient front-of-house team of client care specialists.

The Role
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (2+ years’ experience preferred) who is confident with routine surgeries and consults.
Full or Part-Time: Flexible hours tailored to support your work-life balance.
Working Hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM.
Weekends: 1 in 4 rota, Saturday (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Sunday (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
The practice emphasises work efficiency with:
20-minute consultation slots.
Regular catch-up slots during the day.
Dedicated emergency triage support from the nursing team.
No double-booking of consults.
Scheduled breaks (all paid) and a closed-door period 30 minutes before the end of the day to ensure minimal overruns.
