We are working with a leading, well-established veterinary hospital in Cambridgeshire, known for its exceptional standards of care and collaborative approach. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys emergency and critical care and is looking for a structured night rota that offers true work-life balance.
About the Role
This permanent, night nurse role operates on a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rotation, offering a predictable, lifestyle-friendly pattern that provides plenty of free time between blocks.
You’ll be working as part of a dedicated night team, alongside a veterinary surgeon, a fellow RVN and a receptionist, ensuring 24/7 care for patients in a busy hospital setting. The caseload is varied and fast-paced, with a strong focus on emergency and critical care, giving you the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills in a supportive environment.
This is an ideal role for a nurse who thrives under pressure and enjoys the challenge of ECC nursing, all while working in a collaborative, well-supported team.
What We’re Looking For
- RCVS-registered nurse with a passion for high-quality care
- Someone who enjoys fast-paced work and the unique rewards of night shifts
- A great team player with strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm to develop new skills — experience in ECC is great but not essential, as full training is provided
