Night RVN – Specialist Inpatient Care in a Leading Referral Setting

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to step into a rewarding and unique night nursing role?

We are working on behalf of a leading multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centre that is looking to expand its dedicated night nursing team. This is a rare chance to combine your passion for inpatient care with the opportunity to work in a referral environment, where no two nights are ever the same.

About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time role working on a 4 nights on, 8 nights off rotation, giving you plenty of time to enjoy life outside of work. As part of the specialist night team, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to a diverse caseload of inpatients — from post-op recoveries to critical care cases.

You’ll work closely alongside patient care assistants, interns and fellow nurses, with full support from a well-established team. Whether it’s monitoring complex cases, administering treatments, or ensuring patients are comfortable and calm, your skills and compassionate approach will play a key role in their recovery.

You do not need previous referral experience — full training, including a comprehensive induction, will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain specialist nursing experience and develop your clinical skills in a supported, collaborative environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered)
  • Passion for inpatient care and high clinical standards
  • A calm, compassionate and organised approach to working nights
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a referral setting
  • Team player with great communication skills, able to work closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive salary, starting from £30,000 per year, with flexibility based on experience
  • Generous holiday allowance including your birthday off
  • Professional fees paid
  • Full support for ongoing training and CPD, with access to an extensive CPD library
  • Opportunities for long-term career development within a specialist environment
  • Access to a range of staff benefits, including discounts, wellbeing support and family-friendly policies
