Lloyd & Cowan is seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinarian to step into a leadership role at a high-quality veterinary hospital. This position offers a unique opportunity to guide and maintain an effective and collaborative medical team while delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will foster an environment of trust, teamwork, and accountability, working closely with the Hospital Manager and reporting to the Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Diagnostics:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical exams, and diagnostics.
  • Recommend and interpret appropriate diagnostic screenings and develop tailored treatment plans.

Client Interaction:

  • Communicate medical findings, prognoses, and care recommendations clearly and empathetically.
  • Provide timely updates and ensure client satisfaction during hospital stays and post-care follow-ups.

Surgery & Procedures:

  • Perform diagnostic and surgical procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee surgical preparation and post-operative care, delegating appropriately to support staff.

Medical Records:

  • Maintain detailed, accurate medical records in compliance with AAHA standards.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Mentor and train staff to enhance skills and efficiency while promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of patient care and operational excellence.

Financial & Operational Oversight:

  • Provide accurate treatment cost estimates and communicate them effectively to clients.
  • Support hospital operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and strategic planning.

Professional Development:

  • Commit to continuing education and share knowledge with the team to foster growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • DVM degree and current veterinary license.
  • DEA registration (or willingness to obtain).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in veterinary practice, including leadership roles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a passion for mentorship and team building.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $130,000–$160,000 USD.
