An excellent opportunity is available for a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join a 24-hour emergency healthcare team in Oakville, Ontario. The successful candidate will understand the importance of building strong relationships with pet parents and the support team to provide the highest quality care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality emergency care, including diagnostic assessments and routine emergency surgeries.
  • Work alongside specialists and emergency team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with pet parents, providing compassionate care and clear communication.
  • Promote team-based medicine and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional service.
  • Mentor and guide veterinary students, contributing to their development during their DVM journey.
  • Attend conferences and engage in networking with colleagues to stay current with the latest trends in emergency veterinary care.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, enabling practice in Canada.
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).
  • Completion of an internship in Emergency or Critical Care or prior emergency experience preferred.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and comfort with routine emergency surgeries.
  • Commitment to team-based medicine and exceptional interpersonal skills with colleagues, pet parents, and the community.
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring veterinary students.
  • Interest in attending conferences and networking with peers.
  • A love for all companion animals.

Schedule:
