Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be representing a recently refurbished Veterinary Practice based in Newport, South Wales, that is seeking a motivated and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the ever-growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality first-opinion GP medicine with a mix of consulting and operating shifts.

  • Opportunity to develop interests in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, and medicine.

  • Engage in continuous professional growth and development, supported by a team of experienced vets and nurses.

Work-Life Balance

  • Full-time position includes a 4-day work week with 1:5 Saturdays, integrated within your hours.

  • Surgery opening hours are 8:30 am - 6 pm, with full-time shifts typically running from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, including a one-hour lunch break.

  • Part-time applications are also welcome, with a flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours.

The Practice

  • Busy small animal practice with a diverse caseload.

  • Equipped with top-of-the-range facilities, including ultrasound, endoscope, dental radiography, and Idexx in-house lab equipment.

The Team

  • Team consists of 5 Vets, supported by a large nursing team.

  • Clinical Director is hands-on with clinical work and team support.

  • Many certificate-holders on the team, promoting high clinical standards and evidence-based medicine.

  • Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE

  • Welcome bonus up to £5,000, and relocation allowance up to £5,000.
