A leading veterinary hospital in New York City is seeking a dedicated Senior Veterinarian to join its renowned Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in one of the largest and most advanced animal care facilities in the nation.
About the Role:
Oversee and manage emergency cases in a high-volume, 24/7 ER setting with nearly 20,000 visits per year.
Supervise and mentor interns and ECC residents, with responsibilities including primary case management and ICU oversight.
Rotate between daytime, swing, and overnight shifts, working alongside experienced senior ER doctors and criticalists.
Department Highlights:
Composed of seven board-certified ECC specialists, seven emergency doctors, seven residents, and a dedicated team of technicians and assistants.
Recognized as the region's only VETCOT-certified Level One Trauma Center.
Currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation to enhance clinical facilities, set for completion in 2025.
Qualifications:
Board certification or eligibility in Emergency & Critical Care.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, demanding environment with a strong focus on teaching and continuous learning.
Benefits:
Competitive salary: $180,000—$205,000.
