Are you an experienced and confident Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for inpatient care and the ability to thrive in a sole charge setting? Our client, an expanding and modern veterinary practice in Warrington, is looking for a dedicated Night RVN to join their team and help continue to provide exceptional care to their patients overnight.

About the Practice

Our client is a well-established veterinary centre that has recently undergone significant expansion. With state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team, the practice is focused on providing top-quality care for animals while also creating a supportive and dynamic environment for its staff. The growth of the practice means they are now looking to expand their night team and are seeking a Night RVN to help maintain the excellent level of care their clients and patients have come to expect.

About the Role

As a Night RVN, you will work as part of a small, dedicated night team alongside a night vet, ensuring high-quality care for hospitalised patients and supporting emergency cases when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and supporting critically ill or recovering patients.
  • Assisting with emergency procedures and surgeries.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for both patients and the team.

Working Pattern

  • The role follows a 7 nights on, 14 days off rotation, offering you an excellent work-life balance.
  • Shifts are from 7:30 pm to 8:30 am, Thursday to Wednesday.
  • This rolling rota means you will enjoy extended time off, leaving you with a fortnight every three weeks for personal pursuits.

Salary and Benefits

  • Competitive salary, including a night premium, with earnings between £26,420 to £32,711 per annum, depending on experience.
  • The option to receive payment for holiday accrual, enhancing your earnings.
  • Twice-yearly discretionary bonus scheme to recognise and reward your contributions.
  • HealthShield benefits, providing financial support for a range of health and well-being treatments, including dental care and massages.
  • CPD support with 3 days and £600 per annum, plus opportunities for further qualifications.
  • Access to group social events, promoting a fun and engaging team culture.
  • Enhanced career progression opportunities in a growing and supportive practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be a registered veterinary nurse with current RCVS membership.
  • Have experience in inpatient care and be confident in sole charge overnight.
  • Be highly organised, proactive, and able to make decisions quickly in an emergency.
  • Have excellent communication skills, working well in a small team while also being comfortable working autonomously.
  • Have a passion for providing exceptional care to animals and contributing to a positive team environment.
