Our client is the proud operator of the only small animal veterinary hospital on the Channel Islands, offering state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital x-rays, CT scanner, pulse oximeters, and capnographs. About the Role

As a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be a key part of the practice’s night team, working closely with dedicated night vets to deliver high-quality care to hospitalised patients and assist in emergency surgeries. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting vets during emergency surgeries and examinations.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients overnight.
  • Conducting diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests.
  • Providing exceptional nursing care to all patients.
  • Keeping accurate records and maintaining patient files.

This position follows a unique shift pattern: 4 nights per week for 2 weeks, followed by 4 weeks off.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Current registration with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and a genuine passion for animal care.
  • Experience in emergency nursing is desirable, though not essential.
