We have an exciting opportunity for a new or recent graduate to join this mixed animal practice located in Tasmania.
Joining a supportive and dynamic team of 6 Vets and 3 Nurses in the heart of north-east Tasmania.
You will have great mentorship to ease you into the Mixed Animal Veterinarian life and you will become a pro at:
Pregnancy testing cattle both manual and ultrasound
Lame cows – with our fantastic tipper trailer and LA techs
Bull breeding soundness evaluations (and be accredited!)
Most routine small animal surgery and some orthopaedic surgery e.g. TTO
Laparoscopic LDA
The caseload is 50% large animals (dairy, beef, equine, small ruminants) and 50% companion animals, so you will have the right balance.
You will be working with all the equipment you need like, in house pathology, ultrasound, digital x-ray. For cattle, we have the added advantage of a tipper trailer. When you are on call (only 1:6 rota), all calls are answered by our Tele-Triage team of experienced vet nurses.

You will be located in the North East of Tasmia, with with plenty of beautiful landscapes that surrounds it, world class mountain biking, tiny towns, forests, lavender fields and more. The North East region is worth exploring and discovering.
