We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client, a well-established veterinary practice located in Poole. They are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon who is ready to take the next step in their career and become a Lead Vet/Branch Partner in a supportive practice.
With a value on work-life balance, they offer a 4-day working week and 1 in 3 Saturdays with a 12 o'clock finish. You will be joining a dedicated and happy team that strives to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
Key Benefits:
£60,000 - £70,000 per year
£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave, along with extensive in-house CPD training
VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid

Role Responsibilities:
Performing a wide range of surgical procedures
Conducting thorough pre- and post-operative assessments
Developing treatment plans and providing clients with comprehensive care instructions
Utilising diagnostic tools such as laboratory tests, imaging, and ultrasound
Prescribing medication and promoting preventative care through routine vaccinations
Educating clients on pet health and lifestyle choices
Providing mentorship and guidance to the support team
Drive clinical performance and business growth
Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures
Maintaining accurate patient medical records
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) or equivalent
Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
Surgical skills for performing both routine and complex procedures
Strong knowledge of anaesthesia protocols and pain management
Excellent diagnostic skills, with experience using X-rays, ultrasounds, and blood analysers
Compassionate and clear communication with clients regarding medical conditions and treatment plans
Ability to collaborate effectively with veterinary nurses and support staff
Critical thinking skills to handle complex cases and emergency situations
Adherence to high ethical standards in veterinary practice
