Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are pleased to be working with a practice who is seeking a proactive and dedicated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to manage their nursing team. This permanent, leadership role involves overseeing Veterinary Care Assistants and a Dispensary Assistant, while remaining hands-on with nurse consults, theatre nursing, and inpatient care.
Role:
You will drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency, helping to shape the future of their nursing department. With fully funded industry training, they’ll support your growth in areas like CPD in Ultrasound or other niche skills.
About them:
This is a newly renovated practice featuring two operating theatres, an imaging suite, dental suite, endoscopy unit, and a training room for team meetings. They are conveniently close to bus and train stations, with Perth, Fife, and Aberdeen all within a short drive.
Their team consists of 6 Vets, 7 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 Animal Care Assistants, and 7 Receptionists. They actively support CPD and have staff pursuing exotics and surgical certificates. Their nurses are Schedule 3 trained and engaged in advanced procedures like staged dentistry.
Flexible Work Rota:
They understand the importance of work-life balance. This full-time role involves 37.5 hours per week, with 1:6 Saturdays (paid in lieu). You can choose between a 4- or 5-day week to suit your lifestyle.
Salary:
Up to £33,000 DOE
