An esteemed equine medical institute with over 146 years of service to the equine industry is seeking a Sport Horse Veterinarian to join its expanding Performance Horse Department. About the Role:
The role includes providing full-service primary and emergency care, as well as specialty lameness services, to a diverse competition horse clientele. The ideal candidate will also assist in growing the practice's client base within the sport horse community. Responsibilities include:

  • Primary and emergency care for competition horses at farms, clinics, and horse shows.
  • Horse show coverage at prominent events, including Kentucky Horse Park and The World Equestrian Center.
  • Access to advanced diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography, ultrasound, MRI, PET scans, and therapeutic modalities like shockwave, PRP, and class IV laser.

Qualifications:

  • DVM degree with a veterinary license in Kentucky.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sport horse medicine.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
  • Ability to meet physical and environmental demands of the role.
