We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Reproduction Specialist located in the Waikato region of New Zealand!
Work in a purpose build equine clinic and referral hospital with a full stallion export facility. The hospital is well equipped including a brand new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, full surgical facilities, digital radiography and ultrasonography, nuclear scintigraphy, in house laboratory, video-endoscopy and gastroscopy.
The majority of the caseload is Thoroughbred racing and breeding with a smaller sport and pleasure horse and Standardbred component. The practice offers complete equine veterinary care, covering both ambulatory and specialist equine referral services. You will be joining a supportive work environment which consists of board-certified specialists in surgery and sports medicine and rehabilitation, 13 nurses/technicians and support staff and 4 interns.
The Role:
You will be a highly experienced, passionate equine reproduction specialist and are either board-certified or eligible with the relevant board.
The caseload is split between the assisted reproduction program, including a stallion facility and routine reproductive management on thoroughbred stud farms throughout the region. You’ll be leading the assisted reproduction and stallion program and support a team of 5 stud veterinarians with the reproductive management on thoroughbred farms.
