Lloyd & Cowan is delighted to be representing modern and progressive Veterinary Hospital in the Leeds area who are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced OOH (Out-of-Hours) ECC (Emergency and Critical Care) Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. Role offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 on a unique 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota, allowing ample time for rest and personal pursuits.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse and complex caseload during night shifts.

  • Collaborate with the existing veterinary team, including day and night Vets, Nurses, and Support Staff, to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

  • Utilise state-of-the-art equipment, including IDEXX laboratory, Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, ECG, IM3 Dental machine, and more, to deliver top-tier veterinary care.

  • Work within a well-supported night team consisting of 1 Vet, 1 RVN, 1 VCA, and a Receptionist, with additional support from twilight RVNs until midnight.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A dynamic and proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid medical and surgical skills.

  • Experience in ECC is essential.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent patient and client care.

  • Willingness to embrace the variety and challenges of OOH work.

  • Keen interest in personal and professional development, supported by a generous CPD allowance.
