Lloyd & Cowan are excited to be working with a large, bustling hospital in North London for a Referral Veterinary Surgeon - Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue. This role offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated surgical team and use cutting-edge equipment for a variety of advanced procedures, including TPLOs, orthopaedics, spinals, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, endoscopy, CT, and MRI.

The Role: You'll be joining a 12-vet hospital with a reputation for excellence, recently recognized as one of London's top veterinary practices. You’ll work alongside an experienced group of professionals, including one other orthopaedic/advanced soft tissue surgeon and two soft tissue surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures

  • Provide clear and compassionate client communication, ensuring clients are well-informed about patient care and costs

  • Lead by example, fostering a progressive clinical culture and mentoring your team

  • Support nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, optimizing clinic efficiency

  • Contribute to clinical handovers and ensure continuity of care for patients needing out-of-hours or enhanced care

Your Experience & Skills:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical certificate or higher qualification

  • Expertise in performing TPLO/TTAs, spinals, fracture repair, and complex soft tissue surgeries (e.g., perineal urethrostomy, TECA, BOAS, thoracotomy)

  • Strong clinical leadership abilities with a track record of delivering exceptional care

  • Skilled at working within a team, with a focus on mentoring and development

  • Experience with coaching and influencing to enhance clinic performance
